About The Position

The Tallgrass Energy Partners IT group is looking for an IT Business Systems Analyst IV to provide support for third-party applications and various web development. The analyst reviews, analyzes, and evaluates user needs to create systems solutions that support overall business strategies. Additionally, this role documents system requirements, defines scope and objectives, and creates system specifications that drive system development and implementation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management, Information Systems, Business Management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years overall IT experience.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years recent experience focusing on system development, support, implementation and upgrades.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years development experience using ASP.NET, Visual Basic .NET and VBScript.
  • Established SQL skills in MS SQL and/or Oracle databases.
  • Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and/or Crystal Reports.
  • Experience in an application development environment using WinForms, Microsoft.Net or equivalent technology.
  • Knowledge of On Premise Networks, VPN set ups, SSL Certificates and Single Sign on.
  • Experience with Red Hat Linux.
  • Experience working with ETL tools.
  • Experience working with JIRA Ticketing System and Confluence Document System.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Quorum Software products: QPTM, QLS, QDO, QRA, Dynamic Docs and Flowcal.
  • Experience with W Energy Software.
  • Experience with Power BI.
  • MBA or MIS highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support Off-the-Shelf (OTS) transactional applications, third-party Windows applications, ASP.NET web-based applications, Crystal Reports/Business Objects environments.
  • Work with functional user groups to install, upgrade and troubleshoot applications.
  • Lead the collection and interpretation of functional users' requirements and participate in the identification, technical translation, development and implementation of solutions.
  • Convert project specifications into detailed instructions and logical steps for coding.
  • Provide after hours support as needed.
  • Devise or modify procedures to solve business problems using good information technology techniques.
  • Write documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, and corrections.
  • Mentor junior team members in their development of soft and/or hard skills.
  • Provide technical assistance to program users.
  • Monitor performance of program after implementation.
  • Collaborate with a wide variety of people with tact, courtesy and professionalism.
  • Maintain a high regard for personal safety and the safety of company assets and employees.
