About The Position
This position plays a vital role in the Financial Aid Office, providing essential technical support for the timely awarding of financial aid to approximately 6,600 undergraduate and graduate students. The Associate Director of Operations is responsible for technical support for timely accurate award, audit, reconcile financial aid and award through multiple software applications such as Banner, BraveAssist, Common Disbursement and Origination (COD), and National Student Loan Database System (NSLDS) to prevent over awarding of accounts. Failure to award correctly could result in a $69K fine per incident from the Department of Education. The position also manages the importing and exporting of files with the Department of Education (ED) and other regulatory agencies, troubleshoots, updates, modifies, and analyzes the Banner System to ensure compliance with regulatory needs and changes, and monitors and maintains data integrity of financial aid validation tables, fields, rules, and reports for various systems.
