About The Position

The IT Business Partner (ITBP) at the City of Savannah serves as a crucial liaison between the Innovation and Technology department and assigned Service Centers. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Four (4) years of professional business analysis experience or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Strong technical learning aptitude.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities to address technical challenges and improve business processes.
  • Adaptability to changing technology landscapes and business needs.
  • Good interpersonal skills with department office staff.
  • Work management skills related to managing fast-paced working environments.

Nice To Haves

  • Microsoft certification(s)
  • Experience with technology projects
  • Demonstrably high standards in a fast-paced work environment
  • Able to work with an appropriate sense of urgency
  • Ability to define solution benefits effectively to nontechnical management
  • Hands-on experience with the Smartsheet platform

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary day-to-day IT contact for assigned departments.
  • Act as a liaison between ITS and assigned departments to ensure IT solutions meet business needs.
  • Moderate regular meetings with assigned departments to ensure effective communication and transparency.
  • Provide or coordinate technical support for IT-related issues within the assigned departments.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and ITS regarding technology solutions and services.
  • Manage customer relationships to meet ITS expectations of customer experience and quality.
  • Evaluate business processes and determine appropriate technology solutions.
  • Ensure data security and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Train staff on new technologies and systems.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to IT procedures, systems, and configurations.
  • Actively participate in annual budget planning around technology with assigned departments.
