About The Position

The role of the Information Systems and Technology Directorate (IS) is to develop and implement the Organization's IT strategy by acquiring and supporting IT products and services, deploying IT products and services to internal and external users, including member countries, and ensuring the appropriate security of the Organization's data and information. It also comprises the Sub-Directorate IT Projects and Products (IPP), which is responsible for defining IT standards, designing and developing IT solutions, and ensuring the lifecycle management of existing IT products. Within the IS/IPP/IT Projects Department, the IT Business Analyst is the bridge between Business & IT. The IT Business Analyst evaluates business needs and scope specifications, identify, and propose evolution opportunities, manage roadmaps, consistency and ensure adoption and track usage. The post holder is responsible for gathering requirements from business stakeholders, analyzing the requirements, documenting them in Business Requirements Documents, and creating functional specifications. The IT Business Analyst is working closely with the business counterparts, Engineering Office, Project Manager, IT Product Manager, and IS/IT Project Management Officer. In this specific post, the post holder will work with the Commission for the Control of INTERPOL's Files. In this capacity, the post holder will evaluate, analyze, and propose a new end-to-end process to allow the full management of CCF files and to facilitate the work done by CCF, which is to ensure that the processing of personal data by INTERPOL complies with its applicable rules. For the processing of requests, this process starts from the provision of requests by applicants, to the closing of files. The solutions identified shall take into consideration all the stakeholders involved in the CCF work, in particular in the processing of a request. He/she develops and monitors data quality metrics and ensures business data and reporting needs are met. He/she supports from a functional perspective all needs identified by the CCF, following the prioritization provided by the CCF and discussed with IS Management. The post holder is the bridge between Business (CCF) & IT (including with the IT Project Manager).
