About The Position

The IT Business Analyst II is responsible for bridging the gap between IT and the business using data analytics to assess processes, determine requirements and deliver data-driven recommendations and reports to executives and stakeholders for their assigned support team or function. IT Business Analyst II enables change in the organization by comprehending business problems and providing product or service solutions that will maximize its value to its stakeholders. This level may support a team or function of larger strategic direction or increase from one product/service. A role in Information Technology at UNFI involves being a part of the transformation of food for all through many innovative technology products such as myUNFI, our customer ordering platform or our warehouse management systems that optimize service. You will have an opportunity to be a part of the technology journey to transform food for all through collaboration and building solutions across teams that directly contribute to our OneUNFI strategy. Roles include network automation, infrastructure unification and modernization, data services and analytics, and digital offering.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline or a combination of relevant IT experience and education.
• 3-6 years' relevant IT experience.
• 3-6 years' experience working with process flow diagrams, data models, test plans, technical design documents, and business process documentation.
• 3-6 years' experience working in software, networks, databases or other technology.
• Experience working with geographically dispersed teams.

Nice To Haves

• Prior working knowledge of supply chain systems such as MAWM (Manhattan Warehouse Management) or TMS (Transportation Management System) preferred.
• Knowledge of integration of tools such as MuleSoft or AWS preferred.
• Knowledge of assigned specific software system or application.
• Knowledge in Data Analytics and the ability to create data models.

Responsibilities

• Engages with business leaders, end users and other IT teams to understand how data-driven changes to process, products, services, software and hardware can improve efficiency and add value.
• Evaluates business requirements against system capabilities by reviewing application configuration capabilities and technical requirements, using data flow modeling.
• Influences and articulates to business leaders and end users what is technologically feasible and financially and functionally reasonable.
• Creates and maintains business and technical documentation for IT and end users, such as data models, business processes, test plans, technical design documents.
• Manages the application change life cycle through documentation and determining prioritization.
• Translates business needs into detailed specifications for the development and technical teams.
• Facilitates discussions on product and/or services recommendations to leaders and business stakeholders.
• Presents end user requirements, functional specifications, technical specifications and process flow diagrams to technical teams and other stakeholders.
