Job Summary/Description: WEAU 13 News, the Gray Media-owned, NBC-affiliate in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, is seeking a Broadcast Engineer/IT Technician. A Broadcast Engineer supports all live and taped programming and post-production at WEAU. They perform quality control measurements to ensure proper video and audio quality is maintained for broadcast and assist the local production team's needs. Duties include troubleshooting, maintaining, and installing studio and editing equipment. The Engineer interacts daily with production staff and will be responsible for following all WEAU and FCC standards and guidelines. We are searching for a broadcast engineering professional to work in a modern broadcast facility. The successful candidate will be able to combine solid leadership with a hands-on approach and broadcast engineering and IT management skills for a dominant full-power television station in the Eau Claire, Wisconsin area. Ability to oversee and interact with IT-based workflow in an automated environment, and experience with digital transmitters is important. Good communication skills in a fast-paced news environment are essential.
