SUMMARY The co-op student will be working on job assignments related to their automation or engineering education. These increasingly challenging assignments will provide an effective learning assignment for the student. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include: The student will apply principles that he or she has learned in school to hands-on situations. The student will be responsible for accomplishing performance goals and will receive progressive responsibility throughout his/her co-op experience. Will identify and fix electrical and automation problems. Will attend and participate in weekly departmental meetings. Will take ownership and responsibility for identified projects. Participate on project teams for some assigned projects. Work within specifications provided to meet project goals and objectives in a timely and accurate manner. Participate with peers, project team members, and other departments on new product development, product line extensions, and product enhancements. Will work on automation components, PLCs, and HMIs; troubleshooting hardware issues, electrical issues, and logic issues while configuring automation. QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge of electrical engineering Basic knowledge of PLC programming and troubleshooting. Basic knowledge of robotic programming a plus. Proficient with Microsoft Office Knowledge of SQL, stored procedures, VB 6.0, C#, or VB.Net is a plus Good writing skills and interpersonal skills US Citizen or Legal Permanent Resident EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS Student pursuing a degree in Automation, Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
