SAIC is seeking an IT Audio Visual Engineer located in Hawaii to support USINDOPACOM J76 at K. Mark Takai Pacific Warfighting Center to provide Tier I and Tier II VTC support during exercises and events, as well as, the maintenance and lifecycle management of all A/V and VTC assets of the Pacific Warfighting Center. JOB DESCRIPTION: Provide A/V and VTC support in preparation for and during events at the Pacific Warfighting Center and other deployed locations. Support VTC's for J7 and Pacific Warfighting Center. Lead/coordinate new capability and upgrade projects. May be called upon to work in shifts or early morning calls with DC or EUCOM. Provide Tier II troubleshooting support for VTC and A/V equipment. Provide training to reservists and junior techs on VTC and A/V equipment. Create training materials and write SOPs. Conduct comms check before events. Conduct regular health check of equipment. Manage equipment 'lifecycle': Conduct research into new and better A/V technologies. Make recommendations for procurement. Assemble BOMs (Build of Materials). Work with engineering teams to design and install new equipment. Monitor procurement process and provide status updates. Make sure we have backups of critical components (e.g., projector lamps). Track warranties, licenses and renewals. DRMO old equipment. May be required to support overseas events. Need to be able to meet host country entry requirements.
