About The Position

As a member of the IT development team, this role is responsible for assisting Business Analysts in the design, maintenance, and configuration of Ball’s business processes and tools built on SAP’s sales, production, transportation, supply chain, and FICO related modules and third-party tools. The Associate Analyst works collaboratively with Business Analysts, Business Users and the rest of IT to test and support daily business/systems issues, system changes, upgrades, and new implementations. The Associate Analyst has a heavier focus on daily maintenance and testing in order to learn the business and systems.

Requirements

  • School or work experience that demonstrates aptitude toward technology and business processes, particularly in Corporate Finance and Accounting
  • Experience with using business systems at a previous job or school.
  • Demonstrated ability to ask questions of the business to understand the issue, contribute to root cause analysis, and communicate to others.
  • Experience with using Microsoft applications like MS Windows, Outlook, Excel, Word.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively to reach department or company goals.
  • Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated about continuous learning
  • Optimize work processes with a focus on continuous improvement

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with other SAP, particularly FICO module
  • Understanding of core business processes in Finance and Accounting – AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Credit Management
  • Experience with 3rd party business process tools
  • Experience with testing automation tools.

Responsibilities

  • Timely front-line support of daily business issues Including answering telephone inquiries, responding to emails, ticket creation and monitoring, and performing in-person support sessions. (60%)
  • Assist with the implementation of new tools and appropriate user access and assure adoption through training, monitoring and coaching of business users. (25%)
  • Write training documentation to support the business adoption of tools and foster self sufficiency of the business users. (10%)
  • Perform maintenance window testing and help create, execute, and maintain automated test scripts. (5%)
