As an IT Associate I, you will play a key role in ensuring that staff across multiple programs have the technology and support they need to serve individuals and families effectively. NKHS is seeking a motivated IT Associate I to join our Information Technology team. In this role, you will provide essential technical support, maintain systems, and help ensure the reliability and security of our organization’s technology infrastructure. Your work will directly support our staff in delivering critical services across the region. Our mission is to empower individuals, families, and communities by promoting hope, healing, and support. NKHS is a Designated Agency contracted with the State of Vermont to provide the highest quality of service in the areas of adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities, children and youth with serious emotional disabilities, and adults with mental health and substance use challenges. We serve the populations of Caledonia, Essex, and Orleans counties through a wide variety of targeted programs for individuals of all ages. NKHS has over 500 employees providing case management, community and home supports, residential care, psychiatry, medication management, therapy, vocational supports, school-based services, emergency care, and respite services. Requirements
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining secure, reliable systems
- High school diploma required.
- 1–2 years of experience working with computers, network systems, project management concepts, information security practices, and technical infrastructure required.
Nice To Haves
- Related certification or Associate’s degree preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and problem resolution to end users across multiple sites
- Respond to and assist staff with Help Desk requests in a timely manner
- Perform equipment moves, repairs, additions, and changes including end user devices and network equipment
- Install and configure PC hardware and software
- Collaborate with the IT team to create and update operational procedures
- Assist in maintaining and enhancing technical infrastructure including LAN/WAN networks, Windows servers, operating systems, Exchange, and workstations
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues to ensure reliable network performance
