About The Position

Under the general supervision of the IT Asset Manager, the IT Asset Technician is a key member of the Information Technology department, providing a variety of end user IT equipment support to all departments of CCANY and the CCO’s. This position is responsible for the management of company-issued technology equipment such as iPhones, laptops, peripherals, and consumables. The IT Asset Technician will be required to offer exceptional service in a fast-paced environment to both remote and on-premises customers. IT Asset Technician Requirements Assist the IT Asset Management department in configuring, securing, and maintaining corporate assets (software and hardware). Act as the point person for onboarding setup, ensuring each end user has the proper equipment and access necessary in accordance with our role-based access controls Act as a Level 2 Technician for any issues stemming from hardware malfunctions or issues Inventory Management of IT Assets and tracking disposition for any part of our onboarding/offboarding process. Ensure Asset Management Metrics are accurate by maintaining inventory data Perform Inventory Audits on a specified cadence at target sites Backfill as Solution Center Associate (Level 1 Technician) as needed Travel as needed to assist in IT Asset Management duties across the state of NY Maintains confidentiality Performs other duties, as assigned Must possess a valid Driver’s License from New York, or a contiguous state (i.e., Connecticut, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Vermont) OR Must have the ability to take ample public transportation to attend meetings in person in the community and in the office as needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required; Associate’s degree or Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or other relevant degree preferred
  • 1-2 years as a level 1 technician, preferably in a cloud environment
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Must possess valid NYS Driver’s License

Nice To Haves

  • CompTIA A+/Network+ and Microsoft Certifications preferred (AZ-900)
  • Experience working within an IT Asset Management position a plus

Responsibilities
