About The Position

The IT Asset Manager is responsible for overseeing the administration of IT inventory, asset management, and technical service contracts within the organization. This role involves developing purchasing standards, auditing software licenses, managing asset information, and ensuring compliance with vendor agreements. The IT Asset Manager plays a crucial role in optimizing costs and maintaining accurate records of IT assets from acquisition to disposal.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least six (6) years of experience in a related field.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating.

Responsibilities

  • Works with IT management in the development of enterprise-wide IT purchasing standards and procedures.
  • Audits software licenses to determine usage, ensure compliance with vendor agreements, and control costs.
  • Identifies opportunities to reduce costs through bulk purchasing or other methods.
  • Records assets received by the organization and tracks location or use from purchase to disposal.
  • Maintains and manages software license information and updates.
  • Manages enterprise-wide asset management systems.
  • Responsible for the evaluation, recommendation, and implementation of asset management systems for all IT technical assets.
  • Provides support to the Finance department by providing asset information and managing the physical inventory control.
  • Defines requirements for asset acquisition and procedures to include management and disposal strategies for the enterprise.
  • Coordinates with IT Procurement on receipt of purchase orders, invoice processing, and reconciling inventory changes.
  • Administers policies governing procurement, maintenance, or disposal of IT assets.
  • Maintains records of purchase contracts, invoices, payments, or service level agreements.
