About The Position

The IT Asset Manager role monitors and manages IT asset expenditures, equipment, and software renewals and provides proactive and predictive analytics of IT costs. Tracks technology assets through purchase, deployment, and transfers through to retirement and deprecation phases.

  • Must be able to wear personnel protective equipment (i.e., hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, high visibility vest, safety harness, etc.) when required
  • Repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers
  • Possess good vision/hearing (normal or corrected)
  • Ability to work while sitting or standing for long periods
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Information Technology, or equivalent, preferred
  • Technical credentials/certifications include a minimum of CompTIA A+
  • Two or more years’ related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required

Responsibilities

  • Manages all aspects of technology acquisition per the IT Purchase Policy
  • Coordinates appropriate technology asset allocation and billing
  • Performs cost analytics and provides cost optimization for all software costs
  • Performs cost analytics and optimization for all variable seat software accounts
  • Provides leadership with summary reports of variable use costs
  • Determines, plans, and communicates equipment retirement from service
  • Interfaces with cost center managers with reporting and management of costs
  • Meets regularly with team members for product education to communicate new software products in use, software changes and updates that change user interaction, new hardware in use
  • Provides additional desktop support for all locations as needed
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management
