About The Position

Penn State IT is seeking applicants for the part-time job/internship of IT Applications Specialist. This position will be responsible for supporting new and existing software applications for Penn State University Police and Public Safety.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, debug, install, implement, modify, and/or support new or existing applications software
• Work with users to analyze their requirements; participate in project planning efforts
• Provide end user consultation, functional support, training, documentation, and guidance
• Develop application and website components, features, modules, and templates
• Prepare and execute test plans; follow test cases and established procedures for testing
• May develop, produce, and optimize customized reports in response to user requirements
• May design and implement new features and/or integrations for existing software
