About The Position

This internship position is designed for students to actively engage in a dynamic learning environment, where they will take on specific responsibilities and contribute to various projects within the IT department. The role emphasizes collaboration between business functions and IT teams, focusing on project management and continuous improvement according to agile principles. Interns will have the opportunity to run their own small projects, support major initiatives, and help implement process improvements, all while enhancing their personal growth and contributing to team success.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or a similar field.
  • Demonstrated written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Analytical mind that is open to innovative ideas.
  • Ideally with some IT background.
  • Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major).
  • Have enrolled student status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States.
  • Completed at least 30 credit hours at the time of application.
  • Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours/week).
  • Transfer students must have a GPA from the current university.
  • Must attach a copy of unofficial transcript.
  • Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term.

Nice To Haves

  • German language skills are advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Encourage cooperation and alignment between business functions and IT teams.
  • Support project planning, steering, and coordination.
  • Run own small projects including documentation, evaluating, problem solving, and reporting.
  • Help identify, design, and implement internal process improvements (agile/lean).
  • Create presentations and communication documents using Corporate Identity standards.
  • Support with major projects spanning over the whole plant (Inbound Strategy and Vehicle Launch projects).
  • Perform tasks related to the agile transformation roadmap.
