The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services Operations (DHHS) is seeking an IT Applications Manager II to join the Information Systems and Technology (IS&T) department. This position will report to the DHHS CIO and is the Senior Leader overseeing the Application teams that provide development, implementation, maintenance, and operational support for all computer applications in DHHS. This role ensures that the Information Technology (IT) systems are aligned with DHHS mission and goals, operate securely, and perform efficiently. Technologies include both in-house and vendor applications using Cloud, Web, Client Server and Mainframe systems. This position will provide leadership and guidance to IT professionals teams that deliver business analysis, application development, maintenance, enhancements, production support and vendor management for all DHHS IT systems. The successful candidate will need to possess skills in analytical thinking, coaching and developing staff, communicating with various technical skill levels as well as non-technical leadership, the ability to prioritize and plan work, as well as an ability to interpret and apply state and federal laws/standards as well as agency policies and procedures to all aspects of the information technology projects for DHHS.
