The IT Product Support Associate at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York plays a crucial role in providing support and maintenance for business applications and products used throughout the Bank. This position involves ensuring the timely and accurate completion of Open Market Operations, managing the production environment, and collaborating with various teams to enhance application support and infrastructure capabilities. The role requires a blend of technical expertise and strong communication skills to foster relationships with service providers and vendors, while also contributing to the continuous improvement of operational processes.

  • Provide Level 1 and Level 2 support and maintenance for business applications in the production environment on a 24x7 basis.
  • Collaborate with teams for initiatives related to the support of new or existing business applications.
  • Engage with Incident Management teams to resolve issues in the production environment.
  • Contribute to the identification of remedial actions and steps to avoid reoccurrence of issues.
  • Resolve vulnerabilities identified by security teams.
  • Collaborate with teams/squads to implement and release applications, platforms, and services into multiple environments.
  • Provide non-functional requirements for new and existing applications, platforms, and services.
  • Review the preparation of written materials used in the support of business applications such as run books and SAFR documents.
  • Collaborate on strategic discussions regarding engagement methods with squads and propose adjustments to support services.
  • Experience with Financial Middle and Back Office Settlement and Accounting applications such as Murex, Impact, Calypso or OPICS.
  • Experience working on technical support teams across multiple environments.
  • Knowledge of SWIFT/SAG, GTExchange, or Financial Messaging is a plus.
  • Cloud skills - EKS/ECS, ELMA, Grafana, DB Services; create and maintain pipelines to install and rehydrate applications in AWS.
  • Foundational experience with application migration from on-prem to cloud; AWS and/or MCP/Azure certifications are a plus.
  • Versed in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using Terraform, Gitlab, and Jenkins.
  • Solid understanding of Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Site Reliability Engineering.
  • Practical knowledge of coding practices (such as Python, Java, Scala).
  • General knowledge of networking, firewalls, VPNs, DNS/LTM/GTM.
