Our Summer Internship Program, beginning in June 2026, provides immersive training and introduction to Santander. You will be combining this training with practical experience on both technical and interpersonal skills, helping your development during the internship. The 2026 Santander Summer Internship Program is for undergraduate students and/or graduate level students who have an expected graduation date between December 2026 and May/June 2027. Santander US is a nationwide business with locations across the country. This position is located in Dallas, TX and/or the Irvine, CA location. The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location. You will be given exposure to the innerworkings of one largest financial institutions in the world. Working with best-in-class teams and contributing to projects that drive innovation across the organization. As part of the internship program, you will participate in structured professional development opportunities, create connections with peers and meet leaders across Santander. As an IT App Development intern, you will come out of this experience with an understanding of emerging technology, Infrastructure basics and system integration. You will gain direct knowledge of the transformation journey towards an Agentic AI platform and could include exposure to agile methodology. You’ll learn agile ceremonies, basics of AI (including a high level overview of our RAG platform) as well as some tools we use (current environment) to manage IT related tasks.
Requirements
- An undergraduate student and/or graduate student with an expected graduation date between either December 2026 or May/June 2027.
- Area of Study: Information Technology and/or IT Program Management
- Cumulative GPA is 3.0 or above.
- Demonstrates intellectual curiosity and courage.
- Strong English communication skills both written and spoken required.
- Analytical thinkers with a strong attention to detail.
- Organized and able to manage time and multiple tasks efficiently.
- Ability to work independently on special projects.
- Ability to effectively contribute to a team environment.
Nice To Haves
- Coursework in or exposure to accounting, finance, economics, or business.
- Experience in Microsoft Office products.
- Experience in any application/software system.
Responsibilities
- Assists Business Analysts in documenting current business procedures and processes
- Assists in the creation of documentation and definitions for technical systems, processes, business rules and data
- Researching new technologies and components
- Ensure Application information is correct and updated as required
- Creating PowerPoints regarding our business case
- Special Project work related to strategic initiatives within the bank – could be related to Channel applications, Loan Systems, Mobile / Online Banking, CRM, Operations
- Monthly Executive Review meetings and QBR reporting
