About The Position

Requirements

  • Experience in coding computer applications.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field such as computer science, computer engineering, or management information systems.
  • Experience in programming with C#.NET, ASP.NET, MVC, and Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Knowledge of data warehouse tools, SQL stored procedures, and SQL Server Reporting Services.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong documentation skills and proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's degree in a related field.
  • Experience in designing web and desktop applications using VB.NET.
  • Knowledge of object-oriented programming.

Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain the Nebraska Intelligence application used for data gathering on suspicious activities.
  • Participate in system analysis, design, testing, implementation, and user support for law enforcement forms and reports.
  • Assist in providing application development support for enterprise law enforcement software.
  • Plan, implement, and support GUI design, business rules, application flow, and interfaces.
  • Perform data analysis and create custom reports and forms.
  • Develop and maintain reports using relational database querying techniques.
  • Create SQL database queries, views, functions, stored procedures, and scripts for applications and reporting solutions.
  • Revise existing database structures and migrate data and processes as needed.
  • Test applications, lead users in testing, and resolve reported issues.
  • Document user interfaces and processes to create technical documents and user manuals.
  • Stay current with industry developments and new technologies.
  • Review and incorporate best practices related to application development and criminal justice information security.
