About The Position

The IT Application Analyst Senior position at Austin Energy focuses on providing technical support for energy rebate and incentive programs aimed at enhancing energy efficiency and customer engagement. This role involves configuring and maintaining incentive programs, collaborating with partners, and troubleshooting technical issues within a hybrid work environment that allows for significant remote work.

Requirements

  • Graduation with a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in a field related to the job plus two (2) years experience.
  • Experience may substitute for education up to four (4) years.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency using JavaScript for application configuration.
  • Experience evaluating, testing, and integrating web-hosted applications.
  • Experience with workflow processing systems (especially Energy Efficiency Collaboration Platform).
  • Familiarity with energy efficiency and conservation programs.
  • Experience working directly with customers and end users to define, document, and verify business and functional requirements for IT Projects.

Responsibilities

  • Configure and maintain incentive programs.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to meet program guidelines and goals.
  • Assist in defining requirements and acceptance criteria for product/application enhancements.
  • Provide consulting expertise to internal and external customers.
  • Troubleshoot and provide technical support for problems with all levels of complexity.
  • Research, analyze, architect, develop, implement, and configure technological solutions.
  • Administer, monitor, and maintain one or more IT systems.
  • Investigate and analyze complex business requirements.
  • Provide impact analysis and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Identify opportunities for asset reuse across multiple projects.
  • Respond to issues from the user community.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation related to the development and maintenance of systems.
  • Participate in the development of business process models and data flow diagrams for all levels of the organization.
  • Perform bug tracking and quality assurance tasks.
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans.
  • Develop and/or deliver training.
  • Create and prepare reports and analysis.
  • Install new software releases and/or upgrades.
  • Establish IT policies, procedures, and security requirements.
