About The Position

We are seeking a App Developer to lead the continued development and modernization of our Yard Management System (YMS). This role will focus on enhancing existing FileMaker-based applications while driving the transition of the YMS into a scalable, web-based SaaS platform built with Next.js. The successful candidate will play a key role in expanding integrations with third-party systems and supporting the deployment of the solution across multiple locations and states.

Requirements

Strong proficiency in FileMaker application development, including scripting, layouts, and data modeling.
Demonstrated experience developing modern web applications using Next.js, React, or similar frameworks.
Knowledge of API development and integration with external systems.
Solid understanding of database technologies (SQL, relational databases, data design).
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to scalability and maintainability.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across technical and business teams.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience transitioning legacy applications to modern web-based platforms.
Background in logistics, supply chain, or yard management systems.
Familiarity with Azure or other cloud platforms for hosting SaaS solutions.
Experience with security best practices for web applications.

Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and enhance existing FileMaker applications with new features and functionality.
Lead efforts to architect, design, and develop a Next.js-based SaaS version of the Yard Management System.
Build and support system integrations with logistics, ERP, and third-party applications through APIs.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to define requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Ensure scalability, security, and performance of the YMS as it expands to new sites and customers.
Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code across FileMaker and Next.js environments.
Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes.
Contribute to long-term technology planning, helping guide the transition strategy from FileMaker to web SaaS.
