About The Position

Metaldyne M & A Bluffton LLC has openings for IT and Controls Managers at its facility in Bluffton, IN. Job Description Duties: Review the design, recommend the control system architecture, products, components, and applications using IPF, PLEX, FIS, Ignition and SCADA, and apply them in manufacturing processes. Maintain and manage the processes. Identify and resolve system integration and automation issues, related to Ignition, IPF, SCADA and PLEX systems. Manage all systems integration across the facility. Evaluate new and emerging manufacturing control, and automation technologies, adapting into specifications and company standards. Configure, deploy, diagnose, manage, and maintain the ICS Defender Firewall, Hirschmann and Stratix switches installations. Ensure integrity of EtherNet/IP FieldBus communications including industrial network diagnosis and security solutions with Rockwell and CISCO technology. Manage VMware Architecture with VSphere 5 to achieve, maintain, and improve IT4 level 4 in compliance within corporate standards. Evaluate, design, recommend, configure, and install innovative technology for vision systems using KEYENCE and COGNEX technology, to improve safety and quality. Use Microsoft SCCM and Macrium Site Manager, install and maintain Windows OS and Infrastructure up to date. Manage Auto-Backups with Macrium Site Manager system. Use Factory Talk Asset Center to configure, execute, and maintain backups for PLC, Robots, HMI, and control automation devices using Rockwell technology

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, or related degree, or foreign equivalent degree, and 5 years’ post baccalaureate progressive experience working in the automotive field in the position of IT Plant Floor Engineer, IT Engineer, Controls Engineer or other IT and Controls Engineering positions.
  • 5 years’ experience is required in each of the following:
  • Managing Industrial Networks with Cisco Technologies.
  • Factory Talk Asset Center Configuration with Rockwell Technologies.
  • Managing VMware Architecture with VSphere 5 and later versions.
  • Manage SQL Server DB’s for IPF, PLEX, SCADA and Ignition systems.
  • Manage Auto-Backups with Macrium Site Manager system.
  • Manage and install Windows OS using Microsoft SCCM.
  • Industrial Network diagnosis and Stratix Switch configuration with Rockwell Technology.
  • Using KEYENCE and COGNEX vision systems.
  • Experience may be obtained concurrently.
