Merlin is a venture backed aerospace startup building a non-human pilot to enable both reduced crew and uncrewed flight. We're seeking an entry-level IT Support Administrator who's eager to use and grow their skills in a fast-paced startup environment. In this role, the successful individual will provide a high standard of customer service for our team of highly technical end users by resolving technical issues promptly and effectively. The ideal candidate will help maintain IT systems to protect our critical information, automate the deployment and management of equipment, provide training to end users, all while gaining valuable skills to contribute to a dynamic IT environment.

  • Installation and configuration of Windows, Mac, and Linux laptops and desktops, automating rollout tasks where appropriate utilizing MDM systems
  • Administration and support of cloud-based business tools, including but not limited to: OKTA, Google Workspace, Office 365, Slack, Zoom, Miro, Jira, Confluence
  • Onboarding and offboarding of Merlin Employees in a timely manner
  • Actively monitoring our Jira/Slack Helpdesk
  • Maintaining stock of IT equipment for new hires and tracking of hardware and software inventory
  • Documenting and escalating technical issues as needed
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on delivering excellent customer service
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Basic understanding of IT systems, hardware and software
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures
  • Attention to detail and strong problem solving abilities
  • Bachelor's degree in related field or relevant experience
  • Experience supporting Software and/or Hardware focused engineering organizations
  • Experience administering Google Workspace, Office 365 and IdP systems
  • 1+ years experience in an IT Systems related position
  • Experience with administration of OKTA, including managing users, groups, applications, 2FA
  • Experience with Jira Service Management & Jira Software Cloud administration
  • Experience with Kandji or similar MDM software
  • Experience with the administration of specialized software and hardware engineering tools like GitHub, MATLAB, and Solidworks.
