The Sr. Account Manager at AWS is responsible for driving business growth by managing relationships with Strategic Independent Software Vendors (ISVs). This role involves setting long-term strategies, executing daily operations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet the needs of ISV partners. The position requires building and maintaining relationships with various stakeholders, including C-level executives, and advocating for customer interests while aligning with AWS business objectives.

  • Teaming with all aspects of the customer's organization, including C-level executives, engineering, IT/operations, partner org, and sales.
  • Building relationships across accounts using creative systems thinking and collaboration.
  • Selling at the strategic (C-level) within accounts and implementing broad strategies for customer acceptance and service implementation.
  • Collaborating with AWS resources (Executives, Partner, Support, Solution Architect) to support customer interests.
  • Advocating for customers while aligning with AWS business needs.
  • Driving new service adoption and developing new lines of business.
  • Managing partnership and technical collaboration responsibilities.
  • 3+ years professional experience in software development.
  • Experience building complex software systems successfully delivered to customers.
  • Knowledge of professional software engineering practices and best practices for the full software development life cycle.
  • Ability to take a project from scoping requirements through actual launch.
  • Experience in communicating with users, technical teams, and management to collect requirements and describe software product features.
  • Clear communication skills to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Thorough understanding of systems architecture and ability to determine root causes of issues.
  • Understanding of OAuth, OpenID, and other authentication/authorization protocols.
  • Experience in mentoring and knowledge-sharing within teams.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing and AWS services.
