Your effort and expertise are crucial to the success and execution of this impactful mission. This opportunity supports an Enterprise IT contract with a team of Customer Service Specialists, Database Engineers, Information Systems Security Officers, Information Systems Security Engineers, SharePoint Developers, Systems Engineers, Network Engineers, and IT Engineers responsible for the architecture, engineering, integration, operations, maintenance and sustainment of multi-level Enterprise IT environment.

Requirements

  • Ten (10) years of experience as an ISSO on programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity.
  • Experience in at least two of the following areas: (1) Knowledge of current security tools, hardware/software security implementation, and communication protocols (2) Encryption techniques/tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
  • Four (4) years of additional experience as an ISSO may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
  • Certifications Required: IAT2.
  • Position requires active Security Clearance with appropriate Polygraph.

Responsibilities

  • Provides support for a program, organization, system, or enclave’s information assurance program.
  • Proposes, coordinates, implements, and enforces information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies.
  • Maintains operational security posture for an information system or program.
  • Assists with the management of security aspects of the information system and performs day-to-day security operations.
  • Evaluates security solutions to ensure they meet security requirements for processing classified information.
  • Performs vulnerability/assessment analysis to support certification and accreditation.
  • Provides configuration management (CM) for information security software, hardware, and firmware.
  • Manages changes to system and assesses the security impact of those changes.
  • Prepares and reviews documentation including System Security Plans (SSPs), Risk Assessment Reports, Certification & Accreditation (C&A) packages, and System Requirements Traceability Matrices (SRTMs).
  • Supports security authorization activities in compliance with CSS Information System Certification and Accreditation Process (NISCAP) and DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP).
  • Provides support to senior ISSOs for implementing, and enforcing information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies.
  • Assists with preparation and maintenance of documentation.
  • Maintains records on workstations, servers, routers, firewalls, intelligent hubs, network switches, etc. to include system upgrades.
  • Develops and maintains documentation for C&A in accordance with ODNI and DoD policies.
  • Administers the user identification and authentication mechanism of the Information System (IS).
  • Obtains C&A for ISs under their purview.
  • Plans and coordinates the IT security programs and policies.
  • Serves as the Approval Authority for ISs under their control.
