About The Position

A national technology services provider is supporting a large, multi‑phase data center project involving the build‑out of critical infrastructure. The scope includes installing the fiber backbone and distribution across three floors, pulling and landing 6,912‑fiber trunks through pathways to splice frames. They are hiring ISP Fiber Splicers, including Lead Fiber Splicers. Lead candidates should have at least 2+ years of leadership experience, including responsibilities such as team oversight, site documentation, PM reporting, customer communication, and QC/QA. All splicers should be proficient in high‑density fiber environments and capable of performing tasks such as ribbon splicing, mass fusion splicing, 12–16 strand fusion, trunk routing, PDRs, LIUs, pigtail terminations, rack preparation, MPO pigtail splicing, labeling, reporting, testing, troubleshooting, and bonding/grounding. Splicers must be comfortable working both independently and in team environments. Leads should be able to oversee up to eight splicers at a time.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of fiber optic splicing experience in data center or high‑density fiber environments
  • Mass fusion, ribbonization, 12–16 strand fusion, ISP‑focused work
  • Experience with MPO scope, testing, and troubleshooting
  • EXFO/Fujikura equipment, pigtails, MaxCell pathway installation, PDRs, LIUs
  • Installation and infrastructure experience
  • Rack and stack, bonding/grounding, panels, frames, cable management
  • Mass fusion fiber splicing (ribbonization, 12–16 strand fusion)
  • MPO scope use, testing, and troubleshooting (EXFO/Fujikura)
  • Trunk routing, PDRs, LIUs, pigtails
  • Cable tray installation
  • Pulling through MaxCell pathways
  • Experience in data center or high‑density fiber environments
  • Fiber backbone installation across multiple floors, including:
  • Pulling and landing 6,912‑fiber trunks to splice frames
  • Preparing racks and patching (45U racks, 4U enclosures)
  • Building PDRs with LIUs, ribbonizing and prepping 6,912 and 864‑fiber base‑12 to base‑8
  • Splicing to MPO‑8 pigtails
  • Labeling and documenting all cables, frames, and panels
  • End‑to‑end testing using TIA‑aligned methods
  • Bonding and grounding racks, frames, and trays
