About The Position

Assist in the operation of a cylinder press that that automatically performs multi-operations, such as printing, slotting, slitting, or shearing to form corrugated products from corrugated board.

Responsibilities

Assist in the operation of a cylinder press that that automatically performs multi-operations, such as printing, slotting, slitting, or shearing to form corrugated products from corrugated board.
Obtains cutting die and printing dies from storage according to work order and assists operator in aligning dies on machine cylinder and fastening dies to cylinder using hand-tools and measuring instruments.
Positions corrugated board into feed mechanism.
Feeds/stacks flat paperboard stock into machine that scores and cuts stock to form box or container blanks.
Removes finished product from discharge hopper after converting.
Scans finished product to verify accuracy and clarity of printing, imperfections, or uneven edges, and sets them aside.
Removes plates and cutting die using hand-tools.
Demonstrate commitment to safety and perform job duties in accordance with company safety policies and procedures
Maintain high efficiency according to established rates during operation of the assigned equipment
Complete required quality inspections per customer specifications and paperwork – quality is the responsibility of all employees
Work with peers and other departments to improve quality and performance
Provide an active role in the housekeeping of the assigned area
Understand department communication systems, schedules, time/attendance system and job reporting requirements
Work in miscellaneous on specific projects
Assist with double-feed orders
