Job Title: Isostatic Mold Press Operator Shift/hours: 2nd Shift (2:30PM-10:45PM) Department/Group: PTFE Location: Kulpsville, PA Position Type: KV Union Job Family: Grade 11 Reports to: Supervisor Position Purpose Summary – Fabricate tubing stock and rod stock from various plastic compounds. Forms material through use of isostatic and compression machines following documented company instructions, job orders and quality guidelines. Performs all first article inspections on all jobs in molding department. Job Description ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Comply with all federal and state environmental, health and safety regulations as well as any safety policies and protocols outlined by the company. • Set-up isostatic and compression mold machines per job requirements. • Reviews work orders and receive instructions of production requirements and priorities. • Verifies proper compound/material per routing. Verifies molds and liners per routing are correct and can make stated size. • Observe and adjusts gauges, dials, etc., to ensure specified pressure is maintained per process guidelines. • Monitor process outputs and report any issue or deviation to supervisors or chargehands. • Setup and run molding operations per WIs and job router requirements. • Handle raw materials and finished parts per WIs and department guidelines. • Utilize all Standard Measuring Instruments and perform First Piece and ‘in process’ inspection as required to achieve acceptable reliability and repeatability targets. • Setup and load ovens according to WIs and job router requirements. • Record all Information on GT data collection system as required. • Must maintain batch traceability through manufacturing process. • Performs centerless grinding and saw cutting, as required. • Maintains clean, safe and orderly area per GMP requirements. • Perform all duties as assigned by supervisor including active participation in team meetings for operational planning and improvement ideas. OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES • Utilize required drawings, inspection sheets (generate new sheets as required) • Perform required basic equipment maintenance (top off or adding fluid/oil, reposition water and air lines) for all equipment assigned to the area. • Operate ancillary equipment in the department. • Participate in two-week rotation of all PTFE equipment. Already doing this - • Perform job in compliance with Company’s Quality Policy (ISO 9000 and AS9100). • Maintain part Quality Standards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Demonstrate proficiency upon completion of up to 30 working day trial training and evaluation period (may be ongoing until achievement is met).
  • Must be proficient with operating a workstation computer including searching, saving and editing files.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently read and interpret production drawings, work instructions, Company documents and other specified requirements essential for performing standard job functions
  • Must obtain fork truck certification.
  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience
  • Ability to work for long periods of time in a standing position.
  • Ability to occasionally work in positions requiring sitting and walking.
  • Ability to occasionally work in positions requiring pushing, pulling, twisting, bending, stooping, reaching and grasping.
  • Ability to work in tight spaces for short period of time.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 55 lbs. without the use of mechanical lifting devices or help from others.
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment such as safety shoes, eye protection and hearing protection.
  • Minimally hazardous materials are present and safeguarded. Exposure could cause minor injury or illness.
  • This position requires U.S. Person status as defined by applicable law for authorized access to data controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). A U.S. Person includes U.S. Citizens, U.S. Nationals, lawful permanent residents, and workers granted refugee or asylum status in the United States.
