The University of Central Oklahoma (UCO) is seeking a Full-Time, Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in the field of supply chain management. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about teaching and mentoring students, as well as engaging in scholarly activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate courses, advising students, evaluating their performance, and maintaining accurate department and student records in accordance with university policies. The role requires adherence to the educational philosophy of UCO, which emphasizes teaching excellence and transformative learning. In this position, the faculty member will teach a variety of undergraduate classes, including introductory courses and advanced classes in supply chain management, such as Quality Assurance, Purchasing, Logistics, Supply Chain Analytics, and Project Management. The ability to teach in various instructional formats, including in-person and online, is essential. UCO measures faculty performance with a focus on teaching (50%), research (30%), and service (20%), and the typical teaching load is 4/4. Faculty members are expected to engage in departmental, college, and university committees, prepare reports as needed, and participate in university meetings related to faculty responsibilities. The ideal candidate will hold a Ph.D. in supply chain management, operations management, logistics, or a closely related field from a regionally accredited or internationally recognized institution. Candidates who are ABD (All But Dissertation) will also be considered, provided they can demonstrate strong evidence of degree completion before August 2025. Previous successful university teaching experience, particularly with diverse student populations, is preferred, along with a commitment to scholarly and creative productivity and service.
