About The Position

Premium Guard, Inc, a privately held company, was established in 1996. We are a leading supplier of private label solutions in the automotive aftermarket. We have an exceptional commitment to performance, innovation, and partnership in the automotive aftermarket industry. Our focus is on designing, manufacturing and distributing products for automotive, diesel, power-sports and specialty filter markets. The company is expanding its supply into OEM service (OES) channels, to support this growth, we are excited to announce that we’re hiring an ISO and Supplier Quality Engineer located at our Mount Carmel, IL location. The ISO and Supplier Quality Engineer is primarily responsible for leading company efforts to achieve ISO 9001 certification across distribution centers within the next 12 months while also supporting supplier quality activities including supplier scorecards, new supplier approvals, and customer documentation requirements. The position will work closely with international suppliers—many of whom are already certified to IATF 16949—to standardize quality processes and support customer documentation requirements including Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) submissions

Requirements

  • 2+ years in quality, manufacturing, or supplier quality environments preferred
  • Experience with ISO quality systems preferred

  • Automotive industry experience is a plus
  • Associate’s degree (2-year) in Quality, Engineering Technology, Manufacturing, Business, or related field, Preferred Bachelors

Responsibilities

  • ISO Certification Leadership Lead and coordinate company efforts to achieve ISO certification within 12 months.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve the Quality Management System (QMS) documentation including procedures, work instructions, and process flows.
  • Coordinate internal ISO audits and support external certification audits.
  • Ensure processes meet requirements of ISO 9001 and align with automotive expectations related to IATF 16949 where applicable.
  • Maintain document control processes and ensure company-wide adherence to standardized procedures.
  • Support tracking metrics for corrective actions and closure Supplier Quality Management Support the Quality Manager in monitoring supplier quality performance.
  • Maintain and update supplier scorecards including key quality metrics such as PPM, on-time delivery, responsiveness, and corrective actions.
  • Assist with new supplier evaluation and approval processes.
  • Collaborate with global suppliers to establish standardized quality expectations and inspection requirements.
  • Support receiving inspection processes and quality containment activities when required.
  • Process Improvement Assist with standardizing supplier evaluation processes Support continuous improvement initiatives Improve documentation control and quality reporting systems Provide training and guidance to internal teams regarding QMS processes and ISO requirements.
