About The Position

The ISO 9001:2015 Compliance Officer/QC Manager at AALBERTS SURFACE TREATMENT is responsible for ensuring that materials and processes comply with specifications and ISO standards. This role involves overseeing the materials lab operations, conducting inspections, and maintaining quality control measures to enhance product excellence.

Requirements

• Three to five years of related experience in quality control work.
• Working knowledge of personal computers utilizing Microsoft software such as Word and Excel.
• Knowledgeable in quality management systems such as ISO 9001-2015.
• Knowledge of basic gauge calibration procedures.
• Sound written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide variety of duties to ensure materials and processes comply with specifications and ISO 9001-2015 standards.
• General operation of the materials lab including preparation of test samples for material and process certifications.
• Monitor product quality through final inspections and maintain calibration systems for inspection and test devices.
• Handle audits from customers for various parts and ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Conduct metallurgical testing and maintain knowledge in this area.
• Inspect output samples using industry-standard methods and compare them to customer specifications.
• Record inspection results, summarize re-works and wastes, and input data into the quality database.
• Train production teams on quality control measures to improve product excellence.
• Monitor equipment use to ensure safety and compliance, discarding any that do not meet requirements.
• Engage in educational opportunities and regular training to update job knowledge.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Collect and compile statistical quality data, reporting this information to the plant manager and customers as needed.
• Determine causes of product defects and assist in eliminating these causes.
• Verify calibration of all equipment in the quality department.
• Perform other duties and assignments as directed by management.
