About The Position

Travis Association for the Blind/Austin Lighthouse (TAB) a non-profit organization, was founded in 1934 by Dr. Henry L. Hilgartner and other civic-minded citizens of Austin to provide a setting where blind men and women could come to learn skills and create products that were sold door to door. Today, Travis Association for the Blind stays true to the mission established in 1934 by providing opportunities for economic and personal independence for people who are blind, visually impaired, or deaf blind by creating, sustaining, and improving employment. Responsibilities Supervises daily data entry operations, ensuring data accuracy, completeness within the Army Integrated Sustainment Maintenance (ISM). Conducts causative research to ensure property book accuracy. Communicates key company and department policies, announcements, and general information to employees using a variety of methods, to include: 1-1's, Huddles, Staff Meetings, Paycom. Writes and delivers feedback from Mid-year and annual Performance Reviews; ensures department attains on-time completion of all Check-Ins/Reviews. Coaches, mentors and motivate team for full productivity and positive morale and engagement. Recognizes/rewards employees as appropriate. Comply with and assist other employees understanding and complying with TAB's Safety and Security policies and guidelines. Behaves in accordance with the key behaviors aligned with TAB's Core Values of Leadership, Integrity, Growth & Innovation, Heart and Teamwork ( LIGHT). Requirements

  • Knowledge of product, breakdown and configurations, processes, and other techniques for maximizing and managing the ISM system.
  • Conduct follow-up customer and personal services with the Central Management Office (CMO).
  • Comply with safety requirements around heavy machinery
  • Possesses basic computer skills using Microsoft Office products.
  • Can perform basic math functions
  • Possesses moderate level of critical thinking skills
  • The ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing or in alternate form.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with Managers, coworkers, and other departments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently for self and team members
  • Demonstrates sound work ethics
  • Possesses cultural awareness and sensitivity
  • Highschool diploma or equivalent
  • With or without reasonable accommodation, employees in this position must be able to: Having strong dexterity capabilities to grasp, assemble, and manipulate objects. The ability to stand or sit for 7-8 hours a day. The ability to lift 10-25lbs items/products repeatedly. The ability to endure extreme temperatures in a warehouse setting. The ability to navigate safely in small or large areas/environment. Ability to bend, stoop, squat, adjust position for 40% of time
