About The Position

If you have a passion for technology and love working with people this is the role for you. This is an entry role into the ever expanding world of IT Infrastructure Support. As a Tier 1 support specialist, you will be working directly with Command Alkon's end users to ensure their IT tools are both available to them and functioning at peak performance. You will be given access to best of class tools and working with a world class team to support 500+ end users with offices and remote workers across North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia. This is an exciting opportunity to both show what you know and learn what you don't!

Requirements

  • Willingness and ability to learn IT systems.
  • Proven interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Passion for technology and security.
  • Experience and accomplishments in a customer facing role.
  • Credible demonstration of troubleshooting ability.
  • 1 year of end user technical support experience.
  • 1 year of Windows and Mac troubleshooting experience.
  • 1 year of working with VPN technologies.

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year of knowledge of Okta / Duo and their functions.
  • CompTIA Network+ certification.

Responsibilities

  • Provide world class customer support to our end users through professional and friendly communication with an emphasis on follow through and user education.
  • Maintain and educate end users on IT Security policies and best practices.
  • Display excellent team collaboration and judgement skills - know when to reach out for help.
  • Demonstrate stellar problem solving skills by working through complex IT tickets.
  • Find ways to optimize workflow and suggest improvements to daily activities.
  • Learn and apply institutional knowledge to your daily activities.
  • High tolerance for repetitive tasks.
