About The Position

AISIN MANUFACTURING OF ILLINOIS Job Title: IS Specialist FLSA Status: Exempt Division: IS EEOC Classification: Professionals Reports To: IS Asst. Gen Mgr. Approved by: General Administration Date: 2/25/2025 SUMMARY Provide support for AIP hardware/and software. Create active directory user accounts, printer setups, ordering of PCs, and technical documentation.AEIL is searching for a self-starter with excellent written and verbal communications skills. The applicant must have problem solving skills to analyze root causes for software and hardware problems, ability to create technical documents, self-manage assigned projects, update project documents, and provide customer service to internal and external members. As our IS Specialist you will part of a team in our IS support desk ticket system supporting our plants. Your principal duties will consist of but not limited to; hardware/software troubleshooting/installation, patching , network communication troubleshooting/installation, technical documentation, purchase orders and lease documentation, and other task as necessary. Familiarity with: Windows, 0365 Suite, MS Entra Admin Center, Networking hardware setup/patching (Cisco is a plus), VLANs, IP scopes, San Storage, VM environments, Group Policy, & network troubleshooting tools are required. Experience with VMware, backup storage such as Veeam and AWS, PowerShell, Oracle E Business Suite, AD Group policy, WDS/WSUS/SCCM, Databases, Programming languages, and Linux environments are a plus. This is primarily a 1st shift position, but the member should be to support after hours as needed.

Requirements

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for internal and external contacts
  • Problem solving skills to analyze root cause of software and hardware problems
  • Strong customer service focus
  • Strong Microsoft Office suite knowledge.
  • Basic networking knowledge is a plus
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Develop schedules for maintenance in consideration for users uptime.
  • Maintain logs & records of repairs/scheduled maintenance Device inventory tracking and replenishment while maintaining budgets
  • Familiarity with: Windows, 0365 Suite, MS Entra Admin Center, Networking hardware setup/patching (Cisco is a plus), VLANs, IP scopes, San Storage, VM environments, Group Policy, & network troubleshooting tools are required
  • BS degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 0-2 years experience
  • BS degree in Information Systems or Computer Science
  • 3-5 years’ experience

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with VMware, backup storage such as Veeam and AWS, PowerShell, Oracle E Business Suite, AD Group policy, WDS/WSUS/SCCM, Databases, Programming languages, and Linux environments are a plus
