About The Position

The Field Services Technician at Augusta Piedmont Healthcare is responsible for performing analytical, technical, and administrative tasks related to the planning, installation, and support of desktop and laptop systems, printers, and other peripherals. This role involves direct communication with end users to assess their needs, schedule work, and provide training on hardware and software. The technician will also configure and deploy laptops in a corporate wireless environment and provide on-call support in a 24/7 setting.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • One year of work experience in IS Field Services required.
  • Associate's degree in an IS related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform analytical, technical, and administrative work in the planning, installation, and support of desktop and laptop systems, printers, and peripherals.
  • Communicate with end users to determine needs and schedule work.
  • Provide basic training on hardware and some software to end users.
  • Configure and deploy laptops in a corporate wireless environment.
  • Provide on-call support in a 24 x 7 environment.
  • Respond to, diagnose, and resolve personal computer, workstation, and application-related problems through discussion with users.
  • Deliver remote technical support for Piedmont Healthcare.
