About The Position

The IS Assurance and Advisory Services team provides information technology auditing and consulting services to audit clients, internal audit support, process reengineering and system implementation services. They participate in various client engagements related to the financial services industry focusing on operational and control assessment and enhancement. Success Factors Responsibilities Assist in execution of IS Assurance engagements through the review, documentation evaluation and testing of general controls in a wide range of technology environments Analyze system security and access controls, backup recovery procedures and administration practices Analyze and evaluate reliability of data from systems that is used in financial statements Network with your peers and team members at all levels Participate in team building exercises and community outreach activities Participate in continuous learning and leadership development workshops Collaborate with leadership to identify opportunities for efficiencies People Management/Relationships Take initiative to be a team player (proactively seek opportunities to help others) Treat everyone with respect Develop loyalty and trust within the team Successfully adapt to different personalities and working styles Proactively and effectively communicate information regarding status issues to team members Hold self-accountable for assigned work; seek continuous feedback to learn and develop in role; open to new ideas and suggestions

Requirements

  • Ability to work autonomously under the pressure of tight deadlines and multiple priorities
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or related field; graduating students should have a GPA of 3.0 or above
  • Desire to pursue the CPA, CISSP, or CISA licensure and a career in professional services/public accounting
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills required
  • Strong technical skills with the ability to problem-solve in a fast-paced environment
  • Understanding of general information technology control/environment and willingness to learn, drive for self-improvement
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite products and technologically-savvy
  • Self-motivated and willingness to enhance risk advisory knowledge
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position as needed
  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office and at client offices to access file cabinets, office machinery etc.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer
  • Ability to communicate in a professional manner and exchange information with internal and external actors as needed
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 20 pounds
  • Ability to work outside of normal business hours and weekends as needed
  • Ability to travel to local and non-local clients as needed, overnight travel will be required
