About The Position

Golden Ocala Golf & Equestrian Club is in search of a motivated, team-oriented individual with previous golf course irrigation experience. This person will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our Toro Irrigation system. This Irrigation Technician will work along side of the Golf Course Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent to ensure the irrigation system is properly functioning.

Requirements

• 2-4 years as a Golf Course Irrigation Technician.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Upkeep, repairs and maintenance of the irrigation systems.
• Cleanliness of the irrigation parts room and maintains inventory of the supplies.
• Assists Golf Course Superintendent with preventative maintenance of designated systems, including edging of irrigation and drainage systems.
• Replace or adjust sprinkler heads as needed to ensure even coverage and prevent dry or wet spots.
• Completes purchase orders and submits them to the Superintendent for authorization.
• Assists the Assistant Superintendent in managing the team members.
• Identify and repair leaks, clogs, and other system malfunctions promptly
• Demonstrates courtesy to all Members and guests at all times.
• Assisting with cleanup and pumping of water after large storms/hurricanes.
• Trains and supervises staff assigned to irrigation responsibilities.
