About The Position

We are hiring an experienced Irrigation Technician to support a large commercial landscape construction project. This position focuses on new irrigation system installation only, including underground piping, sprinkler systems, valves, and irrigation control wiring. This project includes installation of 14‑gauge irrigation wire and systems using two‑cable / two‑wire control configurations. If you enjoy building irrigation systems from the ground up on large job sites, this is a great opportunity.

Requirements

• 2+ years of irrigation installation experience (commercial construction preferred)
• Experience installing underground irrigation piping and sprinkler systems
• Familiarity with irrigation wiring and control systems
• Ability to read construction and irrigation plans
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor throughout the day
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen and physical

Nice To Haves

• Experience operating a mini excavator

Responsibilities

• Install new commercial irrigation systems from plans and specifications
• Lay out and install mainline and lateral piping (PVC/HDPE as specified)
• Install valves, valve boxes, sleeves, sprinkler heads, rotors, and drip systems
• Pull, route, and terminate irrigation control wiring, including projects requiring two cables or two‑wire control systems
• Perform waterproof splices, labeling, and basic wire testing
• Flush lines, pressure test systems, and assist with startup and inspections
• Read and follow irrigation plans, details, and site layouts
• Coordinate work with grading, planting, and other construction trades
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized jobsite
