Under direction, maintains irrigation systems, inspects, audits, adjusts and repairs irrigation systems. Works cooperatively and respectfully with residents, coworkers, families, visitors and volunteers to create a positive and pleasant environment throughout the campus. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Under direction, completes assignments and ensures satisfactory completion of all work performed in a safe manner. Operates, maintains and repairs existing irrigation systems to ensure adequate moisture for plantings. Sets and maintains automatic irrigation systems to run systematically according to the landscape care program. Replaces automatic timers as required. Designs, installs, tests and maintains new irrigation systems, and controllers. Orders irrigation supplies, maintains stock parts and equipment as authorized. Troubleshoot irrigation issues and resolve water waste concerns. Operates a variety of tools and equipment used in irrigation installation and maintenance. Independently organize work, set priorities, meet deadlines, and follow up on assignments. Demonstrate strong customer service skills and establish, maintain, and foster positive and effective working relationships. Maintain tools and gardening equipment in good repair. Drive trucks and other motor vehicles as needed. Participate in the Culture Change process through committee assignments that may involve Steering Committee, Action Teams, PersonFirst, and/or self-led neighborhood/household teams. Attend meetings and serve on various employee committees as assigned. Practice good safety habits and participate as a Safety Team member. Proactively support the achievement of all team and organizational goals.
