About The Position

Lifescape Colorado is looking for dedicated, team-oriented candidates to join our team as an Irrigation Technician. A Lifescape Irrigation Technician can work well on their own, is dependable, and takes direction. Responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and monitoring all aspects of computerized, centralized, and large-scale irrigation systems.

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license with approval from fleet insurance carrier (Required)
  • Proven troubleshooting experience in a residential or commercial irrigation technician role
  • Previous field experience within landscape industry (maintenance or construction)

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) (Preferred)
  • Certified Irrigation Technician (Preferred)
  • Licensed Colorado Irrigation Technician (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Improve irrigation systems by accurately and timely completing work order repairs
  • Test soil and vegetation to determine irrigation needs
  • Map out areas for irrigation installation
  • Dig trenches and install pipes and lines
  • Identify repairs as needed
  • Install pumps and electrical timers
  • Conduct routine maintenance checks
  • Tests complete irrigation systems for proper functioning of valves and timers.
  • Locates, excavates, and repairs or replaces damaged or malfunctioning equipment.
  • Perform irrigation startups, service calls, and winterizations
  • Troubleshoot low voltage lighting issues as needed
  • Troubleshoot water feature issues as needed
  • Special duties and projects assigned as needed
  • Maintain predetermined levels of inventory in service vehicle while being neat and orderly for professional appearance
  • Record parts used on each jobsite
  • Inspect and load equipment for the day’s work
  • Follow maintenance procedures for all equipment
  • Check fluid levels before operating
  • Train, Communicate and direct crew on proper use of equipment, and weight and volume limitations
  • Properly park and secure crew vehicle at each property and in the Lifescape yard
  • Report updates after each site visit to Garden Manager, Irrigation Coordinator, and Division manager via email
  • Record concise and pertinent information in the notes section of each site ticket
  • Keep proper records of work orders received and completed through Aspire and Weathermatic
  • Proactively report problem areas/concerns to Division Manager and/or Garden Manager for evaluation
  • Effectively communicate with clients when needed
  • Ensure crew is working safely and job sites are safe at all times; anticipate potential hazards
  • Notify People Operations of any accidents or injuries and submit paperwork according to Company policy
  • Attend departmental safety trainings
  • Maintain accurate daily time keeping via Aspire/Mtime mobile app
  • Maintain 24-hour on call status during snow season
  • Properly operate snow removal equipment
  • Plow, shovel, and apply ice melt in designated areas as assigned
