About The Position

As an Irrigation Technician, you will be responsible for servicing and maintaining commercial and residential irrigation systems. This requires a working knowledge of evaluating and repairing the pipe, valves, & wiring associated with the irrigation system. You must be able to communicate with customers and have a great attitude to maintain our trust, service, integrity, & customer service satisfaction. All employees are expected to carry out the company’s purpose and demonstrate our core values. As an Irrigation Technician at Schill Grounds Management, you must be able to perform the following essential functions of the job:

Requirements

Valid Driver’s License, and be insurable by company policy.
Knowledge of irrigation systems, and troubleshooting.
Proficient in using computers and learning new software quickly.
Must pass a drug and alcohol test and be capable of lifting up to 60 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Fluency in English and Spanish is a plus.
Expert knowledge of landscape maintenance standards, knowledge of plant material, and installation standards
Communicate Effectively in both written and verbal with co-workers and clients
Project management and organizational skills
Positive attitude and prepared to work in a cooperative team environment
Be self-motivated and work independently
Excellent interpersonal skills, outgoing personality

Responsibilities

Repair all aspects of an underground irrigation system
Install, operate, & program all lawn irrigation controllers
Troubleshoot and repair any irrigation issues, including wiring, leaks, and general maintenance
Must demonstrate exceptional customer service & communication skills
Must maintain a professional appearance & attitude
Follow all company policies and procedures.
Perform any other duties as assigned.
