About The Position

Irrigation Technician Reports To: Golf Course Superintendent Department: Golf (Course Maintenance) Status: Full Time Seasonal (with potential year-round) Start Date: 4/15/2026 (we have some flexibility) Rate: $23-28/hour Ideal candidates are problem solvers, resourceful, and have basic knowledge of electricity and hydraulics related to an irrigation system.

Requirements

Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Ability to operate trucks and light motorized equipment.
Working knowledge of basic electricity and hydraulics related to an irrigation system, including automatic valves and controllers and various types of pumps and pumping systems.
Ability to work effectively and ensure co-workers are working safely.
Possess leadership qualities.
Must have willingness to learn.
Must be driven and possess a strong work ethic.
Must be dependable.
Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.

Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance on irrigation equipment as assigned by supervisor.
Troubleshoot issues with irrigation equipment.
Communicate parts and supply needs to supervisor.
Occasionally supervises a small labor force for special projects, and performs other duties as directed by supervisor.
Reports golf course conditions to the Golf Course Superintendent or Assistant Golf Course Superintendent.
Repairs and ensures proper operation of the irrigation system as needed.
Manages soil moisture on greens, tees and fairways with staff.
Performs traditional turfgrass management tasks as needed and directed by Golf Course Superintendent.
Ensures a safe and pleasant work environment.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager, especially in winter months.
