About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Irrigation Technician to join our team. This hands-on role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing irrigation systems for both residential and commercial properties, requiring knowledge of irrigation systems, landscaping, and mechanical skills.

Requirements

• Previous experience working as an Irrigation Technician or in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of irrigation system components, including pipes, valves, sprinkler heads, wiring and timers
• Mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot and repair system issues
• Familiarity with landscaping principles and practices
• Ability to read and interpret design plans for irrigation system installation
• Excellent problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues efficiently
• Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks such as digging trenches or lifting heavy equipment
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Responsibilities

• Install and set up new irrigation systems based on design plans
• Perform regular maintenance on existing irrigation systems, including checking for leaks, adjusting sprinkler heads, and replacing damaged components
• Troubleshoot and repair irrigation system issues, such as broken pipes, faulty valves, wiring and malfunctioning timers
• Collaborate with landscapers and gardeners to ensure proper irrigation coverage for plants and lawns
• Monitor water usage and make adjustments to optimize efficiency and conserve water resources
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and other equipment necessary for irrigation system installation and maintenance
• Assist with landscape maintenance tasks as needed, such as mowing, pruning, or planting
