About Cabot-Managed Properties Since 2022, Cabot has managed the strategy and operations of four exceptional golf courses across the United States, including Cascata and Serket in Las Vegas, Nevada, Grand Bear in Saucier, Mississippi, and Chariot Run in Laconia, Indiana. Position Overview The Irrigation Technician I is responsible for assisting the Irrigation Technician II with the day-to-day maintenance of the irrigation system and golf course in addition to any and all general maintenance duties on the golf course as assigned by the Golf Course Superintendent Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Requirements
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Problem solving and critical thinking skills
- At least 2 years’ experience in golf course maintenance, preferably at a resort golf facility
Nice To Haves
- Enthusiastic about the game of golf
- Experience with Rainbird irrigation system
Responsibilities
- Repair irrigation heads, wiring, piping, satellites, pumps, valves, and trouble shooting
- Monitor pump stations in absence of irrigation tech
- Monitor daily water distribution on the golf course in absence of irrigation tech
- Maintain and repair clubhouse lawn and landscape irrigation system
- Adjust irrigation head arc and output
- Use electronic wire locating device to locate and repair underground irrigation wiring
- Assist in various maintenance activities as required
