VALUES: Desire to be great Excellent Attitude Hardworking Attention to Detail Motivated Exceptional Customer Service Do The Right Thing Every time Position Summary The Irrigation Service Technician performs seasonal services, system inspections, and repairs while following company standards for quality, safety, and customer service. Turn irrigation systems on and off and perform thorough system inspections Diagnose and troubleshoot irrigation issues including leaks, low pressure, coverage problems, electrical faults, and controller malfunctions Make repairs and provide recommendations for improvements to existing irrigation systems Install, maintain, and repair irrigation components including: Sprinkler heads, rotors, and drip systems Valves, piping, wiring, controllers, and backflow components Ensure systems operate efficiently and comply with local water regulations Key Responsibilities The Irrigation Service Technician is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing residential and/or commercial irrigation systems to ensure proper water distribution and healthy landscapes. This role requires strong attention to detail, a troubleshooting mindset, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Requirements

Previous irrigation experience preferred but not required; willing to train the right individual
Basic knowledge of irrigation systems and components (pipes, valves, sprinklers) or willingness to learn
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving mindset
Ability to follow directions and pay attention to detail
Effective communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (chauffeur’s license preferred)
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting, bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods

Nice To Haves

1–3 years of irrigation installation, maintenance, or repair experience
Experience with smart irrigation controllers and water management technology
Commercial irrigation experience

Responsibilities

Perform spring startups, mid-season inspections, and winterizations
Adjust and program standard and smart irrigation controllers
Identify potential system issues and address them proactively
Follow directions from the Team Leader and communicate clearly with the team
Communicate findings, repairs, and recommendations to supervisors and/or customers in a professional manner
Maintain accurate service records, material usage, and job documentation
Follow all safety procedures and company standards on job sites
Maintain clean, organized work areas and service vehicles
Assist with other landscape maintenance or irrigation tasks as needed
