A DAY IN THE LIFE AS AN IRRIGATION SERVICE TECHNICIAN In this role, you will be dispatched and working independently to tend to customer needs. Being mechanically handy and an astute problem-solver will ensure your success! Each customer will have different needs. In listening to your customer's needs, troubleshooting existing systems, and reviewing blueprints, schematics, or drawings, you will decide on the proper service which may entail seasonal maintenance, repair, or modification to the existing components. In some cases, you may have the opportunity to participate in its design. You will ensure that you have the proper parts and tools on hand and in inventory before you arrive at your appointments. You will also be responsible for the maintenance of a company vehicle and all company equipment provided.
