We are seeking a driven and dynamic Irrigation & Landscape Manager to join our growing team. This role is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on leader to take ownership of a high-visibility project in Triad, NC. We are looking for someone who has a true passion for landscaping and irrigation, and takes pride in building and maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces. This role is ideal for a working supervisor who leads from the front—someone who enjoys working with their hands while guiding and motivating crews to deliver exceptional results. Irrigation & Landscape Manager Duties and Responsibilities: Lead Project Execution: Oversee daily operations of large-scale landscape construction projects, starting with a 4.5-acre mixed-use development site featuring walking trails, water features, and retail spaces. Manage Crews and Subcontractors: Direct and motivate a fluctuating workforce of 5–50 team members, including subcontractors for hydro-seeding, mulch blowing, and irrigation installation, ensuring all teams meet project objectives. Technical Implementation: Expertly read and interpret blueprints and scaled drawings to execute complex layouts accurately. Irrigation and Planting: Manage installation of irrigation systems (calculating pressure drops and linear footage) and oversee bed preparation, soil amendments, tilling, and the installation of trees, shrubs, and plantings. Proactive Planning: Schedule projects, coordinate material orders, and ensure timelines are met. Hands-On Leadership: Maintain a “boots on the ground” presence; actively participate in manual labor—digging, planting, or irrigation work—during critical periods to ensure project success. Irrigation & Landscape Manager Requirements: Experience: Minimum of 3 years in landscape construction, irrigation, or a related field; looking for a “plug and play” professional. Technical Expertise: Strong ability to read blueprints/scaled drawings, deep knowledge of irrigation systems, and plant identification. Work Ethic: Must possess a “boots on the ground” mentality; willingness to perform manual labor is required. Licensing: Contractor’s License or Irrigation License highly desired but not required; willingness to pursue certifications is essential. Travel Flexibility: Ability to travel within a 1.5-hour radius as projects expand into new markets. Project Management Skills: Proven ability to manage timelines, coordinate subcontractors, and oversee site logistics effectively. Irrigation & Landscape Manager Benefits: Competitive Compensation: Base salary plus incentive package, adding 10–20% in total compensation. Company Truck: Provided for work-related travel and projects. Career Growth: Clear pathway to becoming a key leadership partner within the company.
