About The Position

The Irrigation Install Manager is a high-impact leadership role responsible for the production, quality, and safety of all irrigation installation projects at the branch. You will lead by example—running your own dedicated crew—while simultaneously overseeing the performance of all other irrigation crews across active jobsites. You are the technical expert who ensures systems are installed to spec, on budget, and in perfect coordination with our landscape teams.

Requirements

  • Experience: 3–5 years of commercial irrigation installation experience, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of commercial components (mainlines, laterals, valves, heads, drip, backflow preventers, and controllers).
  • Blueprint Literacy: Advanced ability to interpret irrigation construction documents, including details, controller charts, and technical specifications.
  • Compliance: Valid Florida Driver’s License with a clean 3-year driving record.
  • Physical Requirements Environmental: Must be able to work consistently in the Southwest Florida climate (high heat and humidity).
  • Labor: Must be able to perform the physical work of an irrigation install alongside your crew when necessary.

Nice To Haves

  • Software Skills: Familiarity with Aspire landscape management software is a significant plus.
  • Communication: Bilingual (English/Spanish ) is strongly desired to effectively lead and train our diverse field teams.

Responsibilities

  • Production & Performance Management Player-Coach Leadership: Run your own installation crew while providing over-the-shoulder management for all other branch irrigation crews.
  • Budget Tracking: Utilize Aspire software to track crew production against job budgets; identify variances and step in to get projects back on track.
  • Administrative Oversight: Hold all Foremen accountable for accurate daily entries in Aspire, including labor hours, material usage, and site notes.
  • Technical Planning & Execution Pre-Job Planning: Review irrigation blueprints with Foremen before every project, verifying pipe routes, valve locations, head spacing, and controller setups.
  • Inter-Departmental Coordination: Synchronize timing with the landscape installation team to ensure rough-ins and pressure testing are 100% complete before planting begins.
  • Field Troubleshooting: Serve as the primary technical resource for resolving complex hydraulic or electrical issues across all active sites.
  • Commissioning: Oversee pressure testing and final system commissioning to ensure long-term performance and client satisfaction.
  • Team Development & Compliance Mentorship: Train and develop Irrigation Foremen; identify high-performing Technicians and prepare them for promotion.
  • Inspection Coordination: Manage scheduling and walkthroughs with local jurisdictions (Lee County, City of Fort Myers, etc.) to ensure all permits are closed successfully.
  • Safety & Standards: Enforce strict company and OSHA safety protocols across all crews to maintain a zero-incident workplace.
