Iron Technician Lead

About The Position

The Iron Technician Lead is an experienced Iron Technician who delegates all daily shift duties to Iron Technicians, administers the Iron Technician competency certification test, assists with the breakdown and repair of all iron used in hydraulic fracturing operations, and maintains the iron database.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years’ experience as an Iron Technician required
Maintaining a valid current driver’s license and a clean driving record, required
Strong leadership characteristics with the ability to delegate responsibility and oversee the successful completion of tasks
Clear communications skills with the ability to read, write, and follow instructions in English
Must be able to safely perform duties during a 12+ hour work shift that will include days or nights, weekends, and holidays
Self-motivated, independent, and reliable with a strong work ethic
Must be physically able to manage a labor-intensive environment
Must be physically able to bend, stoop, kneel, twist, crawl, walk on uneven surfaces, and climb equipment ladders or stairs throughout the work shift
Ability to perform duties safely in both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
Employee may be exposed to distracting and uncomfortable noise levels

Responsibilities

Delegate all daily shift duties to Iron Technicians
Administer Iron Technician competency certification test
Enter and track repaired iron data in iron database
Assist with scheduling future iron testing jobs based on crew schedules
Monitor and review iron database for accuracy
Assist with the breakdown and repair of all iron used in hydraulic fracturing operations
Load and unload of iron from equipment
Break down and rebuild iron
Maintain compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies by attending all required HSE training sessions, safety meetings, and always utilize proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Other duties as assigned
