We are looking for an Iron Melt Operator to join our Cast Iron division. We offer a diverse array of growth opportunities within our manufacturing divisions. This position will be based at our Kohler, Wisconsin location. We specialize in manufacturing high-quality cast iron products.

Requirements

• Must be able to work in the US without restriction or sponsorship
• Effective communication skills for manufacturing production processes
• Must be at least 18 years old

Nice To Haves

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred
• 1+ year of manufacturing, industrial, or warehouse experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Use of pneumatic chipping hammer and masonry/brick saw
• Perform ladle patch/rebuild with misc. refractories
• Perform Melt baghouse bag change out
• Perform Auto-pour furnace chip/patch
• Perform Melt furnace chip/patch
• Melt furnace knockout and reline as needed
• Yard Crane, HMC and Preheat operations
• Scrap load check-in
• After time duties will include slagging, charging, tapping melt furnaces as directed by Control Technician
• Fork lift certification is required
• Clean up duties will be assigned as needed by supervision
